Today, I'm joined by one of my favourite bloggers; the lovely Anna from Floralled! I've been reading Anna's blog for a few years now - before it became Floralled - and have always loved her writing style. It's been amazing to see her blog grow and I'm sure that there's some great stuff in store for Anna. ^_^ I hope you enjoy getting to know her!

Welcome
to Through A Cat's Eyes! Let's just start with you saying a little bit about
yourself and your blog, Floralled.
Thank you and
hello! I'm Anna, I'm 14, and I live in New Zealand. I started my blog when I
was nine in 2010, and I began to blog about fashion when I was about 12.
What inspired you to start blogging?
Remember that
website Moshi Monsters? When I was about eight I made a friend on there that
had a blog, and it looked really fun so it inspired me to start blogging a
little later on. I had a really embarrassing blog name back then which I'm
never going to mention haha!
Do you have any blogging goals for 2014?
One of my
biggest goals is to attend New Zealand Fashion Week in August, and get my blog
out there, as well as to attend loads of shows. I missed out last year but
hopefully I'll be attending this year!
Where do you hope to see yourself and your blog in a few years?
I want to see my
blog and style evolving, and I want to be collaborating more with brands. Once
I get out of high school I'd love to travel and study overseas!
How
would you describe your style?
My style is always changing, but I guess
I've always been into bold and minimalistic designs.
If
you could only own 5 items of clothing, what would they be?
Any 5 things by Alexander Wang, haha!
Who
is your style icon?
I have so many! But I think the person who I look up to the most is Tavi
Gevinson because of her views on feminism, Rookie, and her amazing taste and
style. She is a big inspiration to me.
Which city would you most like to live in?
New York! Very far away from tiny New
Zealand, but I just love how the city seems so fast-paced and there is so much
culture.
What are your favourite and least favourite things about blogging?
My favourite
thing is to be able to share what I'm doing, and be a part of a community of
bloggers - I love making friends through blogs. I guess my least favourite
thing is that it does involve a lot of time and effort, but of course that pays
off!
Do you have any advice for anyone who is thinking about starting a blog?
My top tip is to
aim to inspire your readers with your posts, and the best way to do that is to
bring something new and unique to the blogging world. Take lots of
opportunities, but meanwhile focus on building your blog's brand. Another tip
is to market your blog as much as possible - instagram, facebook, tumblr etc.
are great ways to bring people to your blog. My favourite is instagram because
people only need to tap a screen a couple of times and they're looking at your
blog! And remember that getting your blog out there can take a very long time,
just don't give up and keep going!
